Legal document
Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions govern the purchase and use of El Poder de Aprender’s digital courses. Please read them carefully before buying: by purchasing a course or using the platform you accept them in full.
Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern the sale and use of the digital courses offered by El Poder de Aprender through its web platform.
By creating an account, purchasing a course or accessing the classroom, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions and the Privacy Policy.
If you buy a course for someone else, you are responsible for ensuring that whoever uses it also accepts these terms.
Identification of the provider
These courses are offered by El Poder de Aprender, a digital education platform operating in Colombia.
We are finalizing the official legal name, tax ID and address of the provider. In the meantime, you can reach us on WhatsApp at +57 321 3281693.
Nature of the product
Our products are digital courses accessed online, through a web classroom inside the platform. They are not downloadable files or physical materials: the content (video, text and resources) is always consumed from the classroom while your access is active, and is never delivered as a PDF or downloadable file.
Each course’s description, syllabus and estimated duration are published on its page before purchase.
Registration, account and access delivery
Once your payment is confirmed, we email you the access link to the classroom and to your course library. You are responsible for keeping your access confidential and for the activity carried out through it.
Access is granted to the buyer. Unless the course page states otherwise, access has no expiry date; we may give reasonable notice if a course stops being available.
Prices and payment
Course prices are shown in Colombian pesos (COP) on the platform and include applicable taxes where relevant. Rates and promotions may change without prior notice, but the price applicable to your purchase is the one in effect at the time you pay for it.
Payment is processed through an external gateway (ePayco). We do not store your card data; the gateway handles that information under its own policies and security standards (PCI-DSS).
Personal, non-transferable license
Purchasing a course grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access its content for your own learning. You do not acquire ownership of the content.
You may not share your access, resell, assign, sublicense, reproduce, distribute or publicly display the course content, in whole or in part.
To enforce this personal license, each access is subject to the IP-based control described below.
IP-based access control
To protect the content and ensure the license is for personal use, we log the IP addresses used to open each classroom. By default, the limit is five (5) distinct IP addresses within a thirty (30) day moving window; a course may use a different setting when justified.
If a new IP exceeds that limit, access is automatically blocked. You can reactivate it by writing to us on WhatsApp at +57 321 3281693 so we can validate that the use is personal.
If, upon validation, we confirm the access has been shared, resold or used from a number of networks inconsistent with personal use, the block becomes permanent with no right to a refund.
See how we handle your data and IPsRight of withdrawal
As this is a distance sale, the law recognizes a right of withdrawal within five (5) business days of purchase (article 47, Law 1480 of 2011). This right no longer applies once you open the classroom and access the course content, since it is a digital service already rendered that cannot be returned.
See the right of withdrawal in detailRefunds outside of withdrawal
As this is digital content with immediate access, outside the right of withdrawal we do not issue refunds except where required by law or as detailed in our Refund and Guarantee Policy.
See the Refund and Guarantee PolicyIntellectual property
All course and platform content —videos, texts, materials, trademarks, logos and design— is owned by El Poder de Aprender or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Its copying, recording, unauthorized downloading, modification or any use other than the personal learning permitted by these terms is prohibited.
Completion certificates
When you finish a course you can generate a completion certificate with a public verification code. The certificate confirms you completed the course on our platform; it is not an official degree or certification endorsed by Colombia’s Ministry of Education (MEN), unless the course page expressly states otherwise.
Obligations and acceptable use
- Do not share, resell or assign your access to third parties.
- Do not attempt to download, copy or extract the protected classroom content.
- Do not breach or circumvent the platform’s security and access controls.
- Do not use the platform for unlawful purposes or to harm its operation.
Service availability
We work to keep the platform continuously available, but interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates or causes beyond our control. Such interruptions do not, on their own, give rise to a refund.
Limitation of liability
Courses are for educational purposes. We do not guarantee specific results, as these depend on each person’s effort and circumstances.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the platform or in regulations. The current version will be published on this page; continued use of the platform implies acceptance.
Governing law, jurisdiction and contact (PQR)
These terms are governed by Colombian law, including the Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011) where applicable. For any dispute not resolved directly with you, you may turn to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) or the competent Colombian courts.
For requests, complaints or claims (PQR) about these terms, write to us on WhatsApp at +57 321 3281693 or through the other contact channels published on the site.
